See below for the skill level requirements for leasing

Why Lease a Horse?

Leasing is a good way to test drive horse ownership. We think horses are
great. We know they are fun. We see them fill lives with joy. We see horses
help clients cope with the negative aspects of life.

Horses are also expensive, time consuming, and use specific. Like cars &
trucks different breeds are meant for specific types of riding. It wouldn’t be
wise to try and tow a camper with an economy car. It wouldn’t be wise to fall in love with a horse that doesn’t enjoy doing the type of riding (discipline) that you do.

It is best to know what type of riding you enjoy and want to pursue before
purchasing. This is where leasing makes all the difference. You can make short or medium length time commitment (2, 3, 6, 8 months…) to a horse. You can determine your compatibility with the breed of horse and additionally try many different types of riding.

We are one of the few programs that offer two month contracts, most
places require a yearlong commitment. We do require a last
month deposit. You pay for the first month and the last month, meaning you can lease for only two months or you can keep extending your lease on a
month to month basis. The deposit is used for your scheduled last month.

Pricing

Half Lease:

$170 –  Month (2 month min)

$155 – Month (12 month commitment)

Full Lease:

$250 – Month (2 month min)

$225 – Month (12month commitment)

Families that desire to be able to ride together can half lease, two horses.

Example*: Mother and Daughter want to ride together, so they half lease Raven & Bravado. They pay a total of $340 per month and get to use both horses when riding.

*Raven & Bravado would have a second family or couple that would lease the other half. A schedule would be coordinated between both families and Jessica for weekly use of Raven and Bravado.

Difference Between a Half and Full Lease

Half

Full

  • Willing to exchange phone numbers with the other family/rider
  • Use of the horse outside of lessons

All leased horses are still used for weekly lessons, lessons take priority
